The Anubias Nana is one of the smallest Anubias species and is extremely suitable as a front zone plant.
Almost all Anubias species are easy plants.
They are slow growers, they are not demanding in terms of light & plant nutrition and the thick, dark green leaves can take a beating. That is why the Anubias can also be placed in an aquarium with plant-eating fish. However, too much light can cause algae to grow on the plant, which (if it gets out of hand) can damage the leaf.
Propagation of the Anubias can be done in different ways, provided you are lucky and patient of course. It is possible to split the rhizome or cut off an offshoot, but make sure that both parts have at least 3 leaves and that root growth is present.
You can also, if you have an Anubias species that is about to flower, propagate the seeds of the flower into a new plant.
Please note never plant the Anubias with the rhizome in the soil
but glue or knot the Anubias on stone, deco or wood
in the soil the rhizome will rot and the plant will die.
