CeramicNature's breeding caves

CeramicNature's breeding caves are handmade from ceramic and they are 100% safe for humans, animals and nature. The breeding caves are available in red and brown. All the ceramic breeding caves are handmade in IJmuiden, the Netherlands by CeramicNature. The ceramic decoration is easy to keep clean and has an extremely long life. Nesting caves are shelters used by several fish species to deposit their eggs and/or to raise their young. Especially Harna catfish (l-numbers) use these shelters to deposit their eggs, often these are then guarded by the male until they have hatched. For the cultivation of l-numbers, we recommend using several shapes and sizes so that the l-numbers can choose for themselves which they like best. Also try to place the breeding caves in different directions of flow, the fish will appreciate this. You can of course also use breeding caves for other purposes, for example as a hiding place or as decoration. In addition to being widely used in the aquarium, they can also be used very well in the terrarium or for a rodent stay. Because the ceramic is porous, it absorbs moisture and heat, making it perfect to use as a humid cave or as a heat cave.
