MEAL BEETLE LARVA (Tenebrio molitor, also called mealworm for short, although it is not a worm but a larva) can best or longest be kept in the refrigerator at approx. 5 ºC.
Mealworms are a protein-rich tasty food for birds and reptiles. The mealworms are grown on a plant-based safe diet. The high protein content of about 50% makes mealworms suitable for many reptiles, breeding birds and garden birds.
