​Justicia Gendarussa

The Justicia Gendarussa is a beautiful green, strong aquarium plant. This stem plant has sturdy, stiff leaves and is therefore an excellent plant for Cichlid aquariums.

The plant belongs to the Acanthaeae family and is therefore closely related to Hygrophila.

This aquarium plant can also be used in (low) open aquariums and paludariums as it can grow above the water, which gives a very beautiful and natural effect.

This aquarium plant is a fast grower if sufficient nutrients are present. The stems of this plant are best planted directly in the soil. Pruning can possibly be replanted to propagate this aquarium plant.
