Dragon drago-lux easy uv simulates the full spectrum of natural sunlight and provides the necessary radiation for reptiles in the terrarium.
UV-B: the mercury discharge produces the UV-B radiation that is essential for the production of vitamin D3. This is vital for healthy skin and bone structure.
Without vitamin D3, calcium from food cannot be absorbed. Infrared: The filament delivers infrared radiation in similar amounts as in the natural habitat. Cold-blooded animals need this radiation to survive.
Visible light: this high color temperature lamp offers an improved color rendering index, showing animals their true natural colors.
Powerful UV-A and UV-B radiation without UV-C production. Optimal beam width of 45° ensures maximum utilization of the radiation. Design with integrated ballast operates directly on mains voltage. No additional ballast required, fits in a standard E27 fitting.
Instructions:
To protect animals and plants, a minimum distance of 40 cm is recommended. The duration of daily use of DRAGO-LUX depends on the animal and the size of the terrarium. For forest animals such as (chameleons, anoles, green iguanas,...) 3-5H; For animals of the steppes and grasslands (bearded dragons, uromastyx, lizards) 6-8H per day.
It is important that an area without radiation is provided with this lamp in the terrarium, so that the animals can retreat here in case of overheating. Always expose the animals vertically to UV radiation. Lateral radiation can cause damage to the eye. The burning position of the lamp must always be: vertical base up +30°. Due to progressive reduction of UV radiation, it is recommended to replace the lamp annually to ensure optimum conditions. Lamp reaches full light and UV output after approximately 15 minutes. The lamp will not restart immediately after switching off; a cooling period of 15 minutes is required.
This lamp contains mercury and must be disposed of according to local waste disposal at the end of its life.
