is the most popular moss there is and is therefore the most used in aquariums. Java moss is bright green, grows very quickly, absorbs a lot of waste and is easy to maintain. In addition, this moss is the ideal hiding place for (young) aquarium animals. These can hide in the moss and find sufficient food that the larger animals cannot reach.

Java moss is a fast grower that has little to no requirements for water values. The more light, the faster the growth.

CO2 is not necessary for java moss to grow well.
